What Orange County says about Youth First

“The partnership between Youth First and our area school systems provides an opportunity to grow each child’s social and emotional well-being through individual counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and small groups. These opportunities allow all children access to mental health services at school which is so very important, not only for their academic success, but for life in general. We are proud to support each of our area’s dedicated Youth First Mental Health Professionals so they, in turn, can support our area youth.

“LOVED it, NEEDED it, and will definitely encourage others to participate in Family First next year!”

“Our partnership with Youth First has been such a blessing to our students, families, and teachers. Our Youth First Mental Health Professional, Kacie Shipman, has made a positive impact on the social and behavioral well-being of our students. Teachers and administrators are thrilled with the partnership we have developed with Youth First!”

“Having Youth First in our school corporation has been a huge benefit to our students, and community at large.  The positive impact our Youth First Mental Heath Professional has made daily in the lives of children makes difficult times easier for our students.”

“Having a Youth First Mental Health Professional has been amazing.  Not only do our students now have a resource they need, but our teachers have a resource and a lifeline to go to when we have issues that we have to deal with on a daily basis. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

“When you showed me the data, the number of students that our Youth First Mental Health Professional has worked with, the number of families, the number of teachers, I knew there was a need, but it just blew my mind away, and I’m nothing but pleased. If I were at a school that did not have a mental health professional, I would be looking to contact Youth First.”

“I feel like I would be able to tell my Youth First Mental Health Professional anything. I felt very safe telling her things and knew I was going to get some help, and that is just a really good experience. I feel like everybody needs someone to talk to, and I think it’s just a normal thing.”
